GALVANIZATION
What is galvanization?
Galvanization is an electrochemical process of protecting metals through an electrolysis process. Applying a protective zinc coating on steel or iron prevents corrosion. There are several coating types such as galvanizing, nickel plating, chrome plating and copper plating. The surface is prepared by sanding, brushing, polishing and sandblasting. Galvanization process is increasingly used more instead of painting, primarily due to better and more durable corrosion protection.
Why do we use it, and what are the benefits to our customers?
During each engine rebuilding process, all screws are galvanized instead of polished and brushed, and the process restores their factory shine. The engine that is repaired in our factory at the end of the production process, thanks to these small but important details, also provides the aesthetic impression of a new one!
